FAQ

When is the balance for camp due?
Your balance must be received during check-in on the first day of camp. A $50 non-refundable fee is required at time of initial registration. There is a $25 fee for ALL returned checks.

How do I pay my balance and where do I send it?
To pay your balance, you can simply mail a check directly to the Mercer University Camp Office. Our administrative office address is:

Deposits/payments should also be made to the above address, payable to "Mercer Boys Soccer Academy." All final balances must be paid by check-in on the first day of camp. There is a $25 fee for ALL returned checks.

Are all the camps located on the Mercer University campus?
All instructions are conducted on Mercer athletic facilities located on the Mercer University campus in Macon, or the CGSA field in Warner Robins. The Macon facility is the same that the Mercer Men's and Women's soccer teams use.

What forms are required?
A completed registration form is required IN ADVANCE with a deposit. Further, ALL campers MUST provide a completed facility usage form, signed by his parent or guardian, on the initial day of camp at registration. 

What does each camper receive?
Each academy camper receives a camp T-shirt.

Do campers need to bring a snack and/or lunch?

Yes, however, only Junior Day Bear Campers will have a break for snack/lunch; and they are required to bring their own. MBSA will have coolers available for use.

What happens if my child is injured or sick during camp?
A qualified athletic trainer will be on duty for the duration of all camps to care for minor injuries and illness. Parents or guardians will be contacted immediately if there is a serious injury or a child needs to leave camp early for a medical reason. Please make a notation on the health form if there is any medical condition we should be aware of in advance of the camper's attendance to our soccer academies. Our athletic trainer will be available for questions on the first day of each camp and throughout the week.

If it rains, will camp be cancelled?
No, the camps will not be cancelled. Please bring indoor shoes in case of inclement weather. Refunds are NOT issued for inclement weather.

My child is a goalkeeper. Will you have goalkeeper coaches for his or her specialized training?
Yes, specialized goalkeeper training will be conducted during each camp week by our excellent goalkeeping staff. For the first two sessions of each day, the field players are trained together and the goalkeepers are taken aside and trained as a group.

Can I call in or fax in my application?
Yes, as long as the deposit check has already been placed in the mail. However, we will not hold a spot for a camper off of a fax/telephone request. We must receive your deposit before the registration will be confirmed.

Can I pay by credit card?
Not at this time. All payments must be made by check or money order. Please do not send cash in the mail. We are not responsible for post office errors. Cash will be accepted in person on first day of camp for any balance due. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.
